Livit — Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 2026-07-26
These Child Safety Standards describe how Livit, operated by StageFront LLC, prevents, detects, and responds to child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE") on our service. They are published in accordance with the Google Play Child Safety Standards Policy, the Apple App Store Review Guidelines, and applicable child protection laws.
These Standards are part of, and are read together with, our Terms of Use and our Community Guidelines.
1. Zero tolerance
Livit has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. There is no warning, no strike system, and no second chance for this category of violation.
The following are strictly prohibited on Livit, in every surface of the app — chat channels, private conversations, the photo/video feed, comments, profiles, pseudonyms, avatars, and links:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video, drawing, rendering, or AI-generated media that depicts a minor in a sexually explicit manner, including material that has been edited, morphed, or synthetically produced.
- Sexualisation of minors — content that presents a minor, or a person presented as a minor, in a sexualised way, including suggestive posing, framing, or captions.
- Grooming and solicitation — any attempt to befriend, manipulate, or coerce a minor for sexual purposes, or to move a minor to another platform for such purposes.
- Sextortion — threatening to publish intimate content of a minor to obtain money, further content, or any other benefit.
- Child sex trafficking and any offer, request, or advertisement of a minor for sexual purposes.
- Facilitation — links, usernames, invitations, coded terminology, or instructions that point to CSAE material or communities hosted elsewhere.
- Advocacy — normalising, promoting, or defending sexual interest in minors.
Any account involved in the above is permanently terminated, its content removed, and the case reported to the competent authorities (see § 4).
2. Minimum age
- Livit is intended for users aged 15 and over, or who have valid parental consent under their local law.
- The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow accounts held by children under 13 (US COPPA compliance).
- Accounts identified as belonging to a child under the minimum age are terminated and their data deleted.
- If you believe an account belongs to an underage user, report it in the app or write to support@joinlivit.com.
Livit has no anonymous or random pairing of strangers: there is no "random chat" feature, conversations happen in named community channels or between users who have connected, and every account is tied to a verified Apple or Google sign-in.
3. Reporting — in-app and by email
Every user can report CSAE content directly from the app, without leaving it:
- A chat message: long-press the message → Report
- A photo or video in a conversation: open the media → Report
- A feed post or a concert photo: overflow menu (⋯) → Report post / Report photo
- A comment: long-press the comment → Report comment
- A user: open their profile → Report, and/or Block to cut off all contact immediately
Reports offer a reason and an optional free-text field, and are routed to our moderation queue. Blocking a user removes them from your feed and conversations immediately and flags them to our moderation team.
By email: support@joinlivit.com, subject line "Child safety". Reports may be sent by any person, whether or not they hold a Livit account.
4. How we respond
Reports concerning child safety are placed at the top of the moderation queue, ahead of all other report categories. We aim to review and action them within 24 hours of receipt.
When CSAE content or behaviour is confirmed, we:
- Remove the content from the service immediately;
- Permanently terminate the account and enforce the ban server-side, so the account can no longer post, message, or write any data;
- Preserve the content, account data, timestamps, and associated IP records for the legally required period, so that they can be handed to the competent authority;
- Report the incident to:
- the NCMEC CyberTipline (United States), as required of us as a US-based provider under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A;
- PHAROS (
internet-signalement.gouv.fr) for incidents involving users in France; - the relevant national law enforcement or hotline in the user's jurisdiction where applicable;
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement, including responding to lawful preservation and disclosure requests.
We do not require a reporter to prove a violation before we act: any credible report of CSAE is treated as urgent and investigated.
5. Legal compliance
Livit complies with the child safety laws applicable to its operations, including:
- 18 U.S.C. § 2258A — mandatory reporting of apparent child pornography to the NCMEC CyberTipline (United States);
- COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) — no accounts for children under 13;
- GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) — including the protection of minors' personal data;
- Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) — notice-and-action, and the obligation to inform authorities of suspected criminal offences involving a threat to life or safety;
- French law — LCEN (Law No. 2004-575) reporting obligations, and Articles 227-23 and 227-24 of the French Penal Code;
- Google Play Child Safety Standards Policy and Apple App Store Review Guidelines § 1.2.
6. Prevention measures
- Published rules: these Standards, the Community Guidelines, and the Terms of Use state the prohibition explicitly, and are accepted at sign-up.
- Human moderation: a moderation team with a dedicated moderator role reviews reports; moderator actions are recorded in an internal moderation log.
- Server-side enforcement: bans are enforced on the server, not just in the app, so a terminated account cannot write content by any means.
- User tools: reporting and blocking are available on every message, post, comment, photo, and profile.
- No adult content at all: sexual content is prohibited on Livit regardless of the age of the people depicted, which removes the ambiguity that CSAE offenders exploit.
- Account traceability: accounts are created through Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google; connection IP addresses are logged for abuse investigation and retained for a limited period.
